Castillo Ready to Step In and Lead

Written On: Wednesday, December 09, 2009
Statement by David Castillo:

In light of Congressman Baird’s announcement today, I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his service to the citizens of southwest Washington.  As I have traveled up and down the district over the last few months, I ran into more than a few people who spoke highly of the time he spent in the district meeting with constituents.  While we may not see eye-to-eye on many issues I do send my sincerest appreciation for his service to the public.

Today's announcement does not change my focus on the issues that matter most to the people of the 3rd District:  job creation, lower taxes, fiscal responsibility and national security.

I look forward to continue leading on the issues that matter most to this district and all Americans.
